Know About Adult Onset Diabetes Signs

It is the most common form of diabetes seen in people. It constitutes up to 90 percent of diabetes cases. The major cause of this kind of diabetes is diet. The symptoms of adult onset diabetes are very difficult to notice and most of the times a person feel him /her not suffering from any kind of disease.

It is to people who are above 40 years and above and insulin is not a must dose over here so it is known by the name non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus. Here the body creates resistance to insulin which is commonly known as insulin resistance.

In insulin resistance the body creates more and more insulin which in turn develops resistance to itself and there is low production in insulin.

Diabetes is mainly classified into two types Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is also known by the names early onset diabetes and juvenile diabetes. It is common to children and teenagers.

Adult onset diabetes symptoms can be controlled and avoided. People with adult onset diabetes need to take well balanced diet. Diet should be rich in fiber. Examples of fruits and vegetables rich in fiber are broccoli, apple, carrot, apricot, dates, and raisins.

Sedentary kind of lifestyle is another major cause of diabetes. There should be physical activities in life. The physical activities include running, jogging, skipping. Routines of gym may not be necessary.

Gestational diabetes is another major kind of diabetes. It is to women during second phase of pregnancy. The gestational diabetes may last only for a short interval of time i.e. till the delivery. In ignored cases it leads to type 2 diabetes. Women with this kind of diabetes are at a risk of having large babies.

Tingling in hands and feet

Increased hunger

Poor wound healing

Weight loss or gain

Unclear vision

In higher complicated cases adult onset diabetes leads to heart attacks, strokes, and a condition known as hyperglycemia. It may also cause coma and death.
